Speaking at the launch of the additional outlets, Port Moresby 2015 chief executive Peter Stewart thanked both organisations for their support in ensuring that local residents will now have an increased level of access to tickets.

The eight participating branches of Stop N Shop, which is part of Papua New Guinea's largest multi-format retailer CPL Group, are Badili, Boroko, Gerehu, North Waigani, Town, Waigani Central, Express Airways and Express Deloitte. 

Post PNG will be selling tickets at two shopping malls, Vision City and Waterfront, taking the overall number of outlets up to 27.

Stewart claims “ticket sales have been strong”, with more than 1,500 tickets selling per day through Bank South Pacific branches across the country, and says the Organising Committee is “confident sales will quickly accelerate”.

“With this achievement, we have no doubt that the tickets may be sold out before the Games start,” said Stewart.

“For people who think that they can wait until the last minute, we advise that there might not be many tickets left, so it is best you get them from these selected outlets to prevent yourself from being disappointed.”
