Commonwealth Games England today confirmed the 13-strong wrestling squad that will represent the country at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
"The team will have a distinct mixture of youth and experience, containing five members of the team that competed in Delhi four years ago, two returning medallists and eight athletes who will be competing in a multi-sport games for the first time," said Morely.
"Uniquely, the team also contains a brother and sister from Wigan [Sarah and Michael Grundy], and a married couple, Leon and Yana Rattigan from Manchester, who are both excellent medal hopes, Leon having won the bronze medallist in Delhi 2010 and Yana is the European Silver medallist at her weight class."
Fighting in the lightest of all the weight classes, the women's under 48 kilogrammes, Yana Rattigan will be a real medal hopeful for England when she makes the trip to Scotland next month.
In 2010 she became the first British female wrestler to take a European medal where she sealed silver, a feat she would repeat in 2013.
She is also the six-time British and English champion at 48kg.
"It is an honour to be part of Team England and I can't wait for the Games to start," said Rattigan.
"I really want to do well for my team.
"It should be a great Games."
She will be joined at the Games by husband Leon Rattigan as he returns to the Commonwealth Games after taking bronze four years ago in Delhi.
Despite suffering an injury early in the year, the 97kg wrestler is confident he can prove his worth when it matters in Glasgow.
"After getting injured earlier in the year, the Glasgow Games have become my focus and motivation to get fit," he said.
"I'm really excited to be part of the England team and think the Scottish people will make this a fabulous Games."
As Britain's sole wrestler at London 2012, Olga Butkevych will be among the top medal hopefuls for Team England in Glasgow.
The 58kg athlete became Britain's first wrestler to win a World Championship medal when she secured bronze in Strathcona County, Canada, in 2012, whilst also taking European bronze in 2011 and 2014.
Joining Butkevych and the Rattigan's on the mat in Glasgow will be Chinu Chinu, competing in the men's 125kg; Sophie Edwards, women's 75kg; Michael and Sarah Grundy, competing in the men's 74kg and women's 58kg respectively; Oleksandr Madyarchyk, men's under 61kg; Louisa Porogovksa, women's 55kg; George Ramm, men's 61kg; Philip Roberts, men's 65kg; Chloe Spiteri, women's 63kg; and Omar Tafail, men's 57kg.
