Adam Muys has been appointed new national development coach for Cycling Canada and provincial BMX coach at Cycling BC ©Cycling CanadaAdam Muys has been appointed the new national development coach for Cycling Canada, while also been hired by Cycling British Columbia to act as the body's provincial BMX coach.

Muys has been involved in BMX for the past 20 years helping coach athletes of all levels, from learning to ride to the Olympic Games.

At Cycling Canada, he will be responsible for overseeing the junior development programme as well as supporting the Canadian national team.

This support role will see him aid the team in areas including team management and mechanical help.

For Cycling British Columbia, Muys will coach the BMX provincial team while also supporting the development of coaches in the region.

Following the announcement today, Muys said: "I'm excited to work with the young athletes and help in their development to get them to the next level."
