PortorožJune 20 - Slovenian coastal city Portorož has been named as host of the 25th European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) Congress scheduled for December 6 and 7 this year.

It will be the first time that the General Assembly has taken place in Slovenia and, as well as the usual Executive Committee topics and the proposals, all members of the UEG authorities will be elected for the period running to 2017.

The President's board, the Executive Committee, the Technical Committees and the Control Authority meetings are all scheduled ahead of the General assembly and are due to take place on December 4 and 5.

The Congress will end with the official banquet and the cultural programme is set for December 8.

The deadline for proposals and candidatures from UEG Member Federations is September 6.
