Pele and FedererDecember 13 - Brazilian icon Pelé (pictured left), widely considered the greatest football player ever, has been unveiled as a new ambassador for P&G by no less than Switzerland's Roger Federer (pictured right), arguably the greatest tennis player ever.

The unveiling came during the Gillette Federer Tour in Brazil - an event that saw the two sporting greatest meet for the first time ever.

"It is such an honour to be a part of the P&G family and to be welcomed by the best in tennis – Roger Federer," said Pelé, who is the all-time leading scorer for Brazil and is the only footballer to be a part of three World Cup-winning squads.

"I look forward to joining him and P&G's other great champion athletes.

"We will do many positive things together and commit ourselves to the development of sports in Brazil and worldwide."

The meeting took place over the weekend at Pelé´s residence in Brazil and involved an exchange of gift.

Pelé signed the Brazil shirt he wore in Sweden when he won the 1958 FIFA World Cup for Federer while the Swiss star signed a tennis racquet for Pelé which he had actually been saving for the day he would finally meet his idol.
