European Court to rule on Super League viability

Proponents of a European competition outside UEFA could face financial and sporting sanctions, including a ban from traditional tournaments. The redistribution of revenue and the curbing of an alleged monopoly by the governing body are the driving forces behind the initiative, which goes before judges at the European Court of Justice on Thursday.

UEFA Futsal Champions League elite round: Barça, Benfica, Palma, Sporting CP reach finals

A quartet of Iberian past winners will contest the UEFA Futsal Champions League finals in May after Barcelona, Benfica, holders Mallorca Palma Futsal and Sporting CP topped their elite round groups.

The knockout finals will be held on 2/3 and 4/5 May, with the hosts and draw date to be confirmed. Never before have the four-team finals been made up entirely of past winners, although in the one-off eight-club event of 2021, all the teams in the semis had previously lifted the trophy.

This afternoon, the groups for Euro 2024 were drawn, which will take place in Germany from June 14th to July 14th, 2024. The opening match will be between the host country and Scotland at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Spain and Italy will share a group with Croatia in the "Group of Death."

The Board of Directors of the UEFA Foundation for Children held its semi-annual meeting last week at the UEFA headquarters. Mr. Aleksander Čeferin chaired the meeting, which decided to allocate funds to 64 projects as part of the foundation's mission to defend the rights of vulnerable children worldwide and thus aspire to a better future.
