JULY 4 - ACTIVITIES holiday specialists Center Parcs and Badminton England announced today the start of a five-year partnership that will see them working together beyond the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

April 16 - Badminton's govering body has given security clearance for the World Championships to be staged in India in August, it was announced today.

FEBRUARY 14 - ENGLAND beat Poland 3-2 in the European Team Championships at the Echo Arena in Liverpool to book a place in the final against Denmark tomorrow.

FEBRUARY 16 - ENGLAND'S head badminton coach Ian Wright said tonight that he hopes the experience of pushing Denmark so close in the final of the European Team Championships yesterday will prove invaluable for some of his younger players.

The hosts let slip a 2-0 lead at the Echo Arena in Liverpool to eventually lose 3-2 as the Danes collected their eighth successive title in this event.

SEPTEMBER 23 - ENGLAND today ensured themselves of a gold medal in the mixed doubles at the World Badminton Championships in Madrid after Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms clinched a place in the final against Anthony Clark and Donna Kellogg (pictured).
