November 26 - With under two weeks to go to the start of the 26th Winter Universiade, the Trentino 2013 Torch Relay has reached the historic city of Venice after visiting a number of cities, including 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games host Innsbruck.
November 20 - Trentino 2013 today announced it will use cloud applications provided by technology firm Oracle to manage its communication activities across all forms of social media during next month's Winter Universiade Games.
November 15 - The Winter Universiade Torch tour has reached the Olympic capital of Lausanne as it makes its way through Europe before visiting a number of Italy's most famous cities en route to the Opening Ceremony in the Piazza Duomo in Trentino on December 11.

April 12 - The Trentino 2013 Winter Universiade Organising Committee have decided to store snow that has recently fallen in the Northern Italian province under high-tech tarpaulins, which will ensure that it does not melt and can be used should snow be scarce this December.
March 21 - Trentino in Italy has been chosen to replace Maribor as the host of the 2013 Winter Universiade after the Slovenian city was stripped of the event by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
Canadian show jumper Ian Millar holds the record for the most Olympic appearances by an athlete in any sport. When he competed at London 2012 at the age of 65 it was the tenth time he had competed in the Games since making his debut 30 years earlier at Munich 1972. He had won his only Olympic medal at Beijing 2008 when he was part of Canada’s team that took silver in the team jumping event. Millar won a gold medal in the Pan American Games team jumping event at Toronto 2015. He announced his retirement in 2019.
The Media and Communications Executive will work closely with CGE’s Media and Communications Manager to support the delivery of the organisation’s communications strategy. They will assist on the delivery of CGE’s external communication through media outlets and digital platforms with an aim to share our values, athlete stories and celebrate success to inspire the nation.
