March 21 - British Volleyball has launched a new website so that people can track their progress towards the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

NOVEMBER 17 - BRITISH VOLLEYBALL has today made its first staff appointment in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and has announced Wayne Coyle as performance manager.

JUNE 7 – LONDON 2012 today unveiled their masterplan for the Games site moving volleyball from the Olympic Park to Earls Court and revealing minor changes and details of how the facilities will be used once the Games have finished.

 APRIL 29 – A MAJOR new training facility to help Britain’s rowers to train for the 2012 Olympics and named after the sport’s two greatest names was opened today. The £13 million Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake and Sherriff Boathouse in Caversham near Reading was officially opened by Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent (pictured).

MAY 8 – BRITISH ATHLETICS has benefited from the London Olympic “effect” by signing another major sponsorship deal just a month after getting £50 million backing from Norwich Union. Vonage, an Internet telephone company, have signed up to become the official telecoms sponsor to UK Athletics and will set up Team Vonage to financially support a group of elite stars tipped for success in 2012.

MAY 11 – FOOTBALL has been warned again that it faces being dropped from the 2012 London Olympics unless it agrees to implement a worldwide code on doping that has been ratified by nearly every other major sport and Government.

MAY 15 – THE MYSTERY venue that wants to stage the shooting events at the 2012 Olympics if London officials can be persuaded to move them can be revealed by insidethegames.

July 22 - Speedo, the swimwear firm which helped Rebecca Adlington achieve two gold medals at last year's Olympics, is to move to a new £10 million headquarters in Nottingham, they have announced.

July 20 - The ASA today revealed how it will help shape the Government’s Free Swimming initiative, one of the main legacy promises of London staging the 2012 Olympics, and help encourage more people to take it up.

March 22 - BT, a tier-one London 2012 sponsor,  have signed nine-times Paralympic gold medallist Lee Pearson (pictured) and Nathan Stephens, who has competed in both the Winter and Summer Paralympics, as ambassadors.
