do-you-know
insidethegames.biz are reporting live from the International Judo Federation World Championships in Tokyo as judo comes home?

Live Blog coverage will start on Sunday from the famous Nippon Budokan, originally built for the judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, with Matthew Smith on the scene.

More than 130 countries are set to be represented with 866 athletes taking part in the eight-day competition.

Coverage will continue until the end of the Championships on Sunday August 31 and feature the mixed team event on the final day, an event with added significance as it is due to make its Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020.

Last year in Baku, Japan dominated the individual competition by winning exactly half of 14 gold medals available.
