…insidethegames.biz are running a Live Blog from the 2018 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan?



Our reporter Daniel Etchells will be at the Martial Arts Arena in the Ashgabat Olympic Complex to bring you all the news, as-it-happens, from today until 10th November.

Weightlifting’s flagship event, over 600 male and female lifters from 88 countries will compete in over 20 weight categories.




 
Over 10 days of competition, lifters will need to execute faultless examples of The Two Lifts - The Snatch and The Clean and Jerk, and lift the heaviest weight, in order to be crowned World Champion.
