Newton Faulkner_June_28June 29 - Newton Faulkner, The Beat, Saint Etienne, The Overtones and Temper Trap have been announced as the latest stellar line up to perform at the BT London Live concerts, as the countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games hits the final stretch.

The acts will take to the Hyde Park stage from July 28 to August 10 and join the growing list of British and international artists already confirmed to perform at the city's biggest free celebration of the Games.

British singer-song-writer Newton Faulkner (pictured above), famous for his unique style of guitar playing, will entertain crowds on July 28.

He is set to perform hits from his latest album Write it on Your Skin, to be released on July 9.

Since joining the music scene in 2007, Faulkner has become one of the biggest names in music with his single Dream Catch Me reaching number seven in the British music charts.

Set to perform on August 1 is two tone British ska band The Beat, who's first single was a popular cover of Smokey Robinson's Tears of A Clown which, on release, went straight into the national music charts at number six.
