Target Neutral_BP_logo_June_24_June 25 - Team GB athletes arriving at the Loughborough Preparation Camp will learn how to offset their travel carbon footprint to the Olympics to help make London 2012 the most sustainable Games ever.

BP, London 2012's Sustainability Partner and Official Carbon Offset Partner, is helping to make London 2012 the greenest it can be, they claim.

Its Target Neutral programme is dedicated to helping ticketed spectators offset their carbon footprint as they travel to the Games.

The programme also supports athletes, offering them help in understanding the environmental impact of all journeys to and from the competition.

This support starts as soon as Team GB athletes collect their kit from the Loughborough Training Camp, where they will spend time in the BP Target Neutral Infinity Room, learning how to offset their travel carbon footprint when driving to training sessions and the Games.

Athletes will also have their photo taken in the Target Neutral photo booth.

The photo can then be posted on Facebook or tweeted by the athletes, encouraging others to think about travelling greenly to the Games.

Jessica Ennis (pictured above), a BP athlete ambassador, said: "BP's Target Neutral is so simple to be part of and it's free.

"With us all working together we can really make a difference and help make London 2012 the most sustainable Games possible."

BP Target Neutral is also offering to offset the carbon footprint of all ticketed spectator journeys to and from the Olympic and Paralympic Games for free.
