aboutwsbNovember 16 - The Global television network giant, ESPN Star Sports, have signed up as a host broadcaster for season two of the World Series of Boxing (WSB).

The network is set to broadcast the new Indian franchise Mumbai Fighters exclusively to the Indian public while the International Boxing Association (AIBA), who own the WSB, have also confirmed several of the other host broadcasters for the event.

Fox Sports West, the regional sports network owned by Fox Cable, will broadcast bouts from the American franchise the Los Angeles Matadors, while all the Dolce & Gabbana Milan Thunder home ties will be transmitted live by Sportitalia, a terrestrial and satellite television channel.

TDN will exclusively show the Mexico City Guerreros live across Mexico and Central America while AZTV will have the action from the Baku Fires.

Russia2, meanwhile, will broadcast the Dynamo Moscow bouts and Khabar TV will show the Astana Arlans.

The full list of host broadcasters for the WSB second season will be revealed in the next few weeks while all international viewers can follow the action on the WSB official YouTube channel here.

"We are very determined to bring the best content of [the] WSB inaugural season and live matches of the upcoming second season to our fans," said the WSB chief operating officer, Ivan Khodabakhsh, who is currently the subject of an investigation involving corruption allegations at AIBA.

It is a great step for WSB, reaching to new boxing audiences around the world, beyond the 80 countries which showed the WSB's first season matches live.

"This significant step will emphasise WSB's true global brand."

They are currently the only professional boxing competition that allows amateur boxers to retain their Olympic eligibility even though it features no head guards or vests and a professional-style scoring with three judges.

Season two, which started last weekend, features a new-look format for the competition with two groups of six teams set to battle it out for the crown.

Group A will feature Mumbai Fighters Pohang Poseidons, Dynamo Moscow, Dolce & Gabbana Milano Thunder, Astana Arlans and Los Angeles Matadors.

Group B features defending champions Paris United, Istanbulls, Baku Fires, Beijing Dragons, Leipzig Leopards and Mexico City Guerreros.
