Scotland's Blair and Englishwoman White came from behind to beat Japan's Shintaro Ikeda and Reiko Shiota 16-21, 21-16, 21-15 after 53 minutes.

The victory made up for Blair's disappointment in the event last year when he had to retire in the first game of the final with a back injury while partnering Scotland's Imogen Bankier.

Blair and White, who had beaten another Anglo-Scottish pair and world number 43s Chris Adcock and Bankier 21-17, 21-17 in the semi-final, can expect another ranking boost as they head to Birmingham.

They had beaten world number 25s Alexandr Nikolaenko and Valeria Sorokina in the quarter-finals.
