The fully-GIS linked Transport Macro Simulation Model (TSM 3.0) will be operated in conjunction with the Sochi Organising Committee, Russian Railways and the Transport Directorate for the Olympic Games 2014.

Masterconcept chief executive officer Gernot Leitner said: "The services we provide are very specialised and we have been fortunate to work with fantastic clients in Russia.

"Our focus recently has been helping to develop the master plan for the development of five touristic regions in the North Caucasus in Russia.

"We are currently managing the laser scanning and ortho photo capturing process for 6,000 square kilometres of land for future mountain tourist resorts.

"The extent of our work in Russia means we will be opening a new office in Moscow in the coming months."

The Masterconcept model is also used by Governments in Austria, Germany and Brazil.
