Jürgen Elsishans has been re-elected unanimously as President of the German Baseball and Softball Association (DBV) for a fresh two-year term at the Annual General Assembly in Regensburg.

Elsishans had been on the DBV Board for 20 years including as vice-president of competitions before being elected as President in 2019.

"I would like to thank the delegates for the trust they have placed in me and I am looking forward to the upcoming term of office," he said.

"True to the current DOSB [German Olympic Sports Federation] motto 'move more together', I would like to work so that we in the Presidium, with the state associations and clubs, work better together to advance baseball and softball in Germany."

The Annual General Assembly was held at the new building of the Armin-Wolf-Arena training centre, and also featured elections to the Executive Committee.

Vice-president of competitive sports Markus Pollmeier and vice-presidents Hauke Brockmann, Alexandra Stuckstätte and Nicole Broziewski were all re-elected, while Armin Zimmermann was elected to replace Uwe Sacherer as treasurer.

Sven Muencheberg was elected as chair of the Scoring Commission and Tim Meyer as co-chair of the Umpiring Commission.

A second co-chair of the latter is set to be selected at the next Executive Committee meeting because no other candidate earned sufficient votes.

The General Assembly also approved the budget for state associations for this year, and new men's senior and under-23 national team coach Jendrick Speer introduced to delegates.
