World Triathlon has announced technical officials for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

The governing body has said that 18 National Federations will be represented at the Games.

Among them, 50 per cent are female officials.

Last year, World Triathlon named Mexican Esteban Benitez as the technical delegate for Santiago 2023.

Alomai Rodriguez and Carlos Eduardo Fernández of Argentina, Adrian Sinckler of Barbados, Ian Pilgrim from Bermuda, Alberto Kruschewsky and Manuela Cavalcanti of Brazil, Canadians Linda Wong and Ulf Schuetze, Andres Gonzalez of Colombia, Cuban Tania Torres Torres, Lorna Del Rosario Gautreaux of the Dominican Republic, Jimmy Arauz Bravo of Ecuador, Luisa Margarita Barrientos Hernández of Guatemala, Leslie Poujol Brown from Honduras, Mexicans Mariana Ocampo and Oscar Macedo, Peruvian Roberto Segura Sarmiento, Nydia Sanchez of Puerto Rico, Jason Gooding from Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguayan Manuel García Buenseñor, Stephanie Moyesof the United Sates and Rosana Jackeline Galvis Tieno of Venezuela have been named as the technical officials.

Four reserves - Pedro Vera Riverao of Ecuador, Milagros Palacios Milon from Peru and Canadians Dina Drabyk and Eric Noel – have also been named.

Technical officials from hosts Chile is set to follow soon in accordance with the Technical Officials Appointment Rules.

A total of three medals events - men, women and mixed relay - has been announced for the Santiago 2023 programme.

Every Pan American Games since 1995 has had triathlon on its programme.

Triathlon at the 2023 Games is scheduled to be held from November 2 to 4.
