Odermatt finished the first run in 1min 7.60sec and clocked 1:09.05 for the second run, equalling a total time of 2:16.65 for the 10th World Cup title of the season.

The Swiss international has been in good form, having won two World Championships titles in Courchevel this year.

Alexis Pinturault of France, a three-time world champion, finished 23 milliseconds behind him after closing the gap in the second run, achieving a time of 1:08.48.

Rounding off the podium was Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway, who was 37 milliseconds away from glory.

In the overall standings, Odermatt holds the lead comfortably with 1,626 points.

In second is Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway, who has 1240 points.

Today's bronze medallist Kristoffersen is third on 874.
