Cosm will select games from the NBA league pass to produce and present, which will be available in immersive 8K on large-scale LED-dome systems at its forthcoming venues.

This will be a combination of physical and virtual experiences that will be brought to life by Cosm's CX System, making fans feel the energy of a NBA stadium from a screen.

NBA ID members, the league's new global membership program, will have access to benefits at Cosm's venues, including discounts on tickets, merchandise, and events.

NBA's associate vice-president of new media partner management lead Teddy Kaplan expressed excitement for the new partnership.

"We are excited to bring NBA games to Cosm's innovative venues and further our common goal of enhancing the fan experience," said Kaplan.

"Cosm's Shared Reality technology offers a new and exciting way to bring fans together in person and closer to the game."

Cosm's President Jeb Terry was also thrilled to reach an agreement with a sports association for the first time.

"This is one of the most transformational deals to hit the sports industry in quite some time," said Jeb Terry.

"Our team has created an entirely new experience, driven by industry-leading technology, to give fans a new way to watch the game. 

"The promise of Cosm is to give you the best seat in the house, no matter where that house is.

The two companies will be working together through Cosm's research and development centre in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.
