Younes Rachidi has been permanently banned from professional tennis after pleading guilty to 135 match-fixing offences.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) verified that the Moroccan international had surpassed the number of offences caused by an individual in the history of the sport.

Along with the ban, Rachidi also received a fine of $34,000 (£28,000/€31,700), and will not be able to coach or attend any official event, under a ruling given by independent anti-corruption hearing officer Janie Soubliere, as reported by The Association Press.

"Rachidi was involved in match-fixing with two Algerian players recently banned by the ITIA with the cases uncovered following law enforcement investigations in conjunction with the ITIA in Belgium," the organisation confirmed in a statement.

The two players were Mohammed Hassan and Houria Boukholda, with Hassan found guilty of 29 offences and given a life ban, and Boukholda given a two-year ban after being found guilty of 15 offences.

Rachidi ended his career with his highest Association of Tennis Professionals doubles ranking being number 473.
