Perrine Laffont of France clinched back-to-back women's dual moguls victories at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Freestyle Ski World Cup in Chiesa in Valmalenco, with Japan's Ikuma Horishima winning the men's event.

Former moguls Olympic champion Laffont had finished in the top three at seven out of eight World Cups this season before earning a first victory in the dual event in Deer Valley last Saturday (February 4).

She overcame the United States' Elizabeth Lemley 35-0 in the final on the Dosso course to move top of the overall moguls World Cup standings.

Laffont beat compatriot Camille Cabrol, Japan's Rino Yanagimoto and the US' Olivia Giaccio on her way to the final.

Bronze went to Japan's Anri Kawamura, who beat Giaccio in the small final but was leapfrogged by Laffont at the top of the dual moguls standings.

Previous overall moguls leader Jakara Anthony of Australia lost narrowly in the quarter-finals to Giaccio.

Laffont has 750 moguls points for the season, followed by Anthony with 709 and Kawamura on 673.

Beijing 2022 bronze medallist Horishima won his second dual moguls World Cup of the season, edging past three-time Olympic medallist Mikaël Kingsbury 18-17 in the final.

His Canadian opponent still leads the overall moguls standings with 802 points to the 578 of Horishima, and continues to hold a lead in the dual moguls discipline with 362 to the 294 of Sweden's Olympic champion Walter Wallberg.

Bronze in the Italian resort went to Canada's Julien Viel, who beat the US' Dylan Walczyk.

The next moguls and dual moguls event is set to be the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships in Bakuriani in Georgia on February 25 and 26, which is not included in World Cup rankings.
