Metzger is due to lead the LPGA's business development and partnerships team in developing a growth strategy.

She will also be responsible for attracting brands to the LPGA and to advance opportunities and value for the organisation's existing partners.

"After working across the sports industry, I am thrilled to join the LPGA team to advance revenue growth and help close the sponsorship gap in women's sports," said Metzger.

"The partnership opportunities the LPGA provides are truly unique because they’re built around solving problems.

"I look forward to drawing on my past experiences to help develop and deliver innovative, compelling offerings for our partners and prospects to meet our shared goals."
