Hosts Austria concluded the action at Bad Gastein in the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Alpine Snowboard World Cup with a victory on home soil in the parallel slalom mixed event against Germany.

Andreas Prommegger and Daniela Ulbing defeated Stefan Baumeister and Ramona Hofmeister to the gold medal, pleasing the home crowd.

Despite the Germans narrowly winning the first run by 0.02sec, Hofmeister failed to finish the second run, meaning the Austrians took the win.

In the small final, Dario Caviezel and Julie Zogg won by the same virtue, taking bronze when Alexander Payer and Sabine Schoffman failed to finish.

Maurizio Bormolini claimed victory in the men's parallel slalom and Daniela Ulbing did the same in the women's bracket.

Italian Bormolini defeated Austrian Sebastian Kislinger in the quarter-finals before beating Fabian Obmann of Austria in the final four.
