Tiril Udnes Weng has been more in form over the International Ski and Snowboard Federation Cross-Country Ski World Cup season, as the overall leader and second in the Tour de Ski standings, but lost to her sister Lotta in the final, who crossed the line in 3min 06.04sec.

The second Weng was 0.35 seconds behind, with Mathilde Myhrvold completing an all-Norwegian podium, 0.67 behind.

Katharina Hennig of Germany, Krista Pärmäkoski of Finland and Czech Republic's Tereza Beranova completed the rest of the final line-up in positions fourth to sixth.

Tour de Ski leader Frida Karlsson from Sweden failed to make it out of the quarter-finals, but remains in the lead of the standings with two legs to go.

Her combined time of 1hr 47min 04sec has her 41 seconds in front of Tiril Udnes Weng, and 1:05 clear of Pärmäkoski.

Norwegian Johannes Høsflot Klæbo is just two races away from making Tour de Ski history, having won his fifth race in five, with the men's sprint victory.

Klæbo will be aiming to become the first skier to go undefeated during a season of the Tour de Ski and continued his streak today, crossing the line in the final in 2:43.85, beating Sweden's Calle Halfvarsson by 0.26sec.

Simone Mocellini from Italy took bronze, with Lucas Chanavat of France, Johan Häggström of Sweden and Canadian Antoine Cyr finishing behind.

Italian Federico Pellegrino was eliminated at the quarter-finals and remains third overall in the Tour de Ski standings.

Klæbo has a total time of 1:32:39, in front of Halfvarsson by 58 seconds overall.
