French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) President Brigitte Henriques has chaired her first in-person Executive Board meeting since returning from sick leave.

Henriques has been on sick leave since mid-October following a long-standing dispute which led to the dismissal of former secretary general Didier Séminet.

The former French Football Federation vice-president participated in the Paris 2024 Board of Directors meeting earlier this week, and reportedly chaired a meeting of leading CNOSF officials by video last week.

Following the CNOSF Executive Board meeting, treasurer Michel Callot said that it featured "very constructive exchanges between all the members of the office", as reported by French newspaper L'Équipe.

"If I have one comment to make this evening, it is that the transparency was appreciated by all and made it possible to situate things in their fair proportion," Callot commented.

Callot presented an internal audit report to the Executive Board, and that more details were likely to follow after a CNOSF Board of Directors meeting tomorrow.

The feud between Séminet and Henriques caused a governance crisis at the CNOSF, harming the organisation's preparations for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.

A group of four officials led the CNOSF in Henriques' absence, but the President elected last year vowed that she would "never quit" as she looks to lead the organisation into Paris 2024.

Séminet accused Henriques of "slanderous denunciation" and "breach of trust", and issued a complaint to the Paris Public Prosecutor after claiming that he had been "publicly denigrated" and "defamed" by the President.

Henriques then filed a complaint for "psychological violence" against Séminet in early October after he was removed following a secret ballot at an extraordinary meeting of the CNOSF Board of Directors.

Paris is due to stage the next edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has urged "all parties concerned to resolve the problems as quickly as possible".

IOC President Thomas Bach said last week the Paris 2024 Organising Committee had "reassured us that it does not affect the quality of the work of the Organising Committee", and "we should not forget the human side" in offering his best wishes to Henriques.
