FIFA has launched an official soundtrack featuring nine songs connected to the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The playlist has been launched by FIFA Sound, a platform billed as a place "where music and football come together", and released by Universal Arabic Music, Universal Music Group and Republic Records.

It begins with The Official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Theme, followed by the official fan festival anthem Tukoh Taka by Nicki Minaj, Maluma and Myriam Fares.

Hayya Hayya (Better Together) by Trinidad Cardona, Davido and Aisha features in English and Spanish, while Arbho by Ozuna, Gims and RedOne - the pre-match walk-out music for the players - is included with English and Arabic versions.

Nora Fatehi, Balqees, Rahma Riad and RedOne's Light The Sky, Jungkook from BTS' Dreamers and Tears For Fears and Lil Baby's The World is Yours to Take complete the soundtrack.

FIFA's creative entertainment executive RedOne hailed the launch of the soundtrack.

"I am incredibly proud to have delivered Dreamers, the biggest debut in FIFA World Cup history, attracting more than 60 million views on YouTube from all over the world," he said.

"There have been official songs for previous editions of the FIFA World Cup, but never a multi-song soundtrack that brings to life the spirit of global unity and togetherness that has contributed towards the special atmosphere of this ground-breaking tournament.

"Distinctive global voices - including some of music’s biggest artists - are part of this story, and the infectious energy of this soundtrack will connect with those who love music, as well as football, across the planet."

The World Cup in Qatar, which has proved controversial following criticism of the host nation's human rights record - is set to conclude next Sunday (December 18).
