The Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee (PNGOC) is encouraging National Federations (NFs) to put forward officials to participate in the organisation's latest Managing Olympic Sport Organisation (MOSO) course.

The NFs have been asked to nominate three members of their Executive Boards to take part in the leadership programme until the process concludes on November 30.

The course will consist of six modules which are set to be delivered over a series of weekends from March 2023.

PNGOC general secretary Auvita Rapilla claimed that the National Olympic Committee was the only Oceania member country that was active in the delivery of the International Olympic Committee-backed training programme, which is designed to produce better sports leaders.

"It is a great motivator for us and therefore we are looking to run a successful PNG MOSO III next year with a good number of participants," added Rapilla.

"We invite National Federations to nominate three members of their Executive and ensure gender balance in their nominations."

The staging of the programme comes after the Oceania Sports Education Program was carried out in Port Moresby.

The final two modules of the course focused on marketing and public relations and planning.
