The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) is supporting its partner GoDaddy's initiative to provide community sporting clubs the opportunity to have a professional website built for free.

The campaign gives 50 grassroots organisations the chance to have their website built for free by web hosting company GoDaddy until December 31 with the purchase of an annual hosting plan.

"The AOC appreciates the ongoing efforts of GoDaddy to support Olympians and Olympic sport," said AOC chief executive Matt Carroll.

"Olympic dreams are sparked and fostered at community clubs around the country.

"A free built professional website can help to give the volunteers, families and participants a boost for grassroots clubs to better connect with their members and community and maybe unearth an Olympian or two for Brisbane 2032.

"I am sure many clubs from the Olympic sporting family will make the most of this tremendous opportunity.

"Thank you to Tamara Oppen and the team at GoDaddy for your continued support of the Olympic movement."

GoDaddy has previously teamed up with Australian Olympians Melissa Wu and Belle Brockhoff in the past to help support their entrepreneurial efforts away from sport.

"As the official website building partner of the Australian Olympic team, we couldn't be more thrilled to join with the Australian Olympic Committee to support sports clubs at a grassroots level," GoDaddy Australia managing director and vice-president Tamara Oppen said.

"We wouldn't have Aussie Olympians without the support and dedication of community sports clubs, so it's our privilege to help more clubs get online to build their brand, reach new and existing supporters, help raise funds and save time on admin with a professional online presence."
