The International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) is seeking nominations to represent athletes and National Federations on its Executive Board.

National Federations and athletes have until October 5 to submit nominations, with elections set for December 8 during the FITEQ Annual General Assembly (AGM).

FITEQ's Executive Board should consist of four commissioners and four additional members; one of the additional members is to be elected by athletes and one by National Federations.

Rui Marques Leitão from Portugal is the current athletes' representative and Teqball France President Jawad El Hajri represents National Federations on the Executive Board.

They were elected in December 2021 at the last FITEQ AGM, while International Olympic Committee member Filomena Fortes from Cape Verde was appointed to the Executive Board by the commissioners.

There are seven people on the FITEQ Executive Board at present, but that should rise to eight with the commissioners expected to appoint two members.

The FITEQ Ethics and Disciplinary Committee will review the eligibility of all nominees.

Nominees cannot be under any sanctions relating to sport, have been prosecuted for crimes relating to sport or doping, or have punishment for breaching FITEQ rules pending.

Only candidates who are officials or employees of their National Federation may be nominated by their National Federation.
