The Women's European Water Polo Championship resumed with Italy and The Netherlands winning again to remain unbeaten after three group stage matches.

The Netherlands beat Greece 13-8 at the Spaladium Arena in Split in a Group A fixture to continue their winning form.

Brigitte Sleeking, who won a bronze at the Budapest 2022 World Championships, scored three with Lola Moolhuijzen also finding the net three times to ensure victory.

In Group B, Italy cruised to a 18-5 win over Israel.

Valeria Palmieri finished the game with four goals to her name for the Italians.

Hungary thrashed Germany 26-4 with Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Gréta Gurisatti bagging five goals.

Croatia got the better of Romania 15-6.

Matea Skelin found the back of the net four times for the Croatians.  

Serbia and Slovakia were pitted against each other with the former winning the tie 9-6.

Hristina Ilić scored three goals for the Serbians.

Defending champions Spain recovered from their loss against Italy in the previous game with a dominating win.

They humbled France 16-4 with two-time Olympic silver medallist Maica García Godoy stealing the show with four goals.

The women’s tournament will resume on Thursday.
