The winners of five disciplines at the Lotos Syrenka Teqball Cup in Warsaw have been revealed, as the Polish athletes competed for the chance to qualify for the World Championship.

Bartłomiej Frańczuk, who claimed three gold medals last year at the competition, defended two of his titles.

He defeated Adrian Soul to crown himself the champion of the men’s singles again as well as joining Adrian Duszak to win the men’s doubles title, bettering Mark Pokwap and Konrad Nowick in the final.

Patrick Kaminski held on to third in the men’s singles and Patrick Kaminski and Bartosz Januszewski finished in the position in the men's doubles.

Alice Bartnick achieved gold in the women’s singles, following her triumph over Paulina Akak.

Alexandra Orzechowska claimed the third-place medal.

Akak also claimed gold in the women’s doubles alongside Eve King after they bested Alice Bartnicka and Justyna Bartman.

Orzechowska and Agnieszka Rybicka, who won the women’s doubles last time out, settled for bronze on this occasion.

Akak and Kaminski were on the podium once again when they topped the mixed doubles rankings, beating Alice Bartnicka and Duszak in second and Alan Gałecki and King in third.

Michał Listkiewicz, the President of the Polish Teqball Association, expressed his pleasure at staging the third edition of the tournament as the country prepares to host the 2023 European Games in Kraków and the regions of Małopolska and Śląsk.

"Despite not the best weather, we managed to run the entire tournament without any delays," he said.

"Huge thank you to the judges who conducted this competition very professionally.

"Now we have the indoor teqball championship tournament and international games in Krakow, which will be a test tournament before the European Games Igrzyska Europejskie 2023 next year, where teqball will be the official medal discipline."

Monta Beach Volley Club staged the beach teqball tournament with almost 70 women athletes participating in the event.

Ukrainians were the only non-Polish competitors to take part as a gesture of support and community to the country.
