The Philippines dominated Singapore 7-0 in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Football Federation Women's Championship to propel themselves to the top of Group A in Manila.

The hosts became the sole leaders as they recorded seven separate goalscorers at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, leaving them on six points from two matches.

Isabella Flanigan opened the floodgates with a sublime volley past Singapore goalkeeper Beatrice Tan Li Bin after eight minutes.

Just two minutes later, the score was doubled as Singapore captain Ernie Sulastri Sontaril accidentally converted a Tahnai Annis cross into her own net.

Annis then scored one of her own as she netted a looping header from Flanigan's cross inside 20 minutes before Sarina Bolden got the last goal of the half.

It took just two minutes into the second half for the Filipinas to get goal number five as Sara Eggesvik slotted home after a goalmouth scramble.

Kaya Hawkinson dominated in the air to get on the scoresheet after 55 minutes before Anicka Castañeda tapped in a loose ball to complete the rout.

The first game of the day saw Thailand draw 2-2 with Australia's under-23s, also in the capital.

The Australians raced to a two-goal lead with Amy Sayer and Mackenzie Hawkesby scoring past Thai goalkeeper Chotmanee Thongmongkol in the 18th and 26th minutes.

However, Kanyanat Chetthabutr pulled one back for Thailand with a brilliant lob when she spotted goalkeeper Jada Mathyssen-Whyman off her line after 40 minutes.

Ploychompoo Somnuek then equalised with an hour on the clock.

Indonesia and Malaysia then met in Biñan in the final match of the day.

At 10 FIFA ranking places lower, Indonesia looked to be heading to an underdog victory as Sheva Imut Furyzcha drew first blood in the 74th minute.

Steffi Sarge Kaur then scored at the death to rescue a point for Malaysia.

Group B action is set to take place tomorrow as Laos face Timor-Leste and Cambodia take on Vietnam in Biñan.
