Latvia led Canada 7-0 after three ends in the second women’s round-robin session of the day, eventually earning a 12-8 victory against the defending champions.

The result puts Latvia top of the standings with a 100 per cent record from their three matches.

Norway are second having played one match less, with their team winning 7-5 against Sweden and 9-7 over South Korea today.

Sweden bounced back from the defeat to overcome Denmark 7-2.

The result leaves Sweden third in the early standings with two wins and one defeat.

Japan, South Korea and the United States are tied for fourth place, after a win and one defeat from two matches.

Germany, Norway and Scotland remain top of the men’s standings following three consecutive wins.

Germany earned an 8-3 win over Sweden in their opening match of the day.

Norway secured a 9-6 win over Switzerland, while Scotland were 10-5 victors against New Zealand.

South Korea are fourth in the standings after a 10-4 win against the United States.
