Hillsdale College, the home of the USA Shooting national team, is set to stage the first Hillsdale College Para Trap Grand Prix tomorrow and on May 15.

The two-day event, which follows the previous shotgun competition held in France last month, is due to take place at the Halter Shooting Sports Education Centre which consists of a 113-acre shooting facility close to its campus in south-central Michigan.

The area consists of four trap fields, four international skeet fields, five Olympic bunker fields, a small arms range and a 22-station sporting clays course.

It also has an outdoor archery range.

The competition is expected to welcome athletes from USA Shooting as well as competitors from overseas.

On the opening day of the event the participants are anticipated to be allowed to shoot up to 75 targets.

On the second day it is scheduled that the number of targets drops to 50.

The finals of the event are due to be held on Sunday (May 15).
