Thailand originally took the bragging rights when the two nations met in the 50 metres rifle three positions team men's gold medal match.

The Thailand trio of David Toothaweesap, Napis Tortungpanich and Thongphaphum Vongsukdee held off Indonesia’s Mohammad Hasan Busri, Davin Rosyiid Wibowo and Fathur Gustafian with a 16-10 victory.

Bangladesh won bronze in the category after marginally beating Singapore 17-15.

Indonesia’s women's team later got revenge over Thailand in the same discipline by winning 16-14 to take the title.

Indonesia’s Monica Daryanti, Vidya Rafika Rahmatan Toyyiba and Diaz Kusumawardani were responsible for ensuring Thailand’s Supamas Wankaew, Thanyalak Chotphibunsin and Jayden Jitrawee Mohprasit did not repeat the men’s result.

In the 50m rifle three positions women's event, Singapore’s Martina Lindsay Veloso triumphed 16-6 over Kusumawardani to take gold.

Wankaew finished third in the event to secure bronze.

The second stage of qualification in the 25m pistol women's team event saw Thailand top the ranking, as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia finished in second, third and fourth.

Currently the medal table is topped by Indonesia, the hosts, with five golds, eight silvers and one bronze.

Singapore follows with five golds, two silvers and seven bronzes whilst Thailand increased their tally to three golds, three silvers and four bronzes.

Tomorrow will see the 25m rapid fire pistol men's event continue after the Indonesian trio of Anang Yulianto, Safrin Sihombing and Yudha Sianatta finished in the top three.

The 50m rifle three positions mixed team final and the 25m pistol team final are also scheduled to take place.
