Mikaël Kingsbury’s quest for a 10th International Ski Federation Moguls World Cup crown has started with a victory in the season-opening event in Finnish resort Ruka.

The Canadian has dominated the discipline over the past decade, winning nine successive men’s overall titles from 2012 to 2019.

Australia’s Matt Graham ended Kingsbury’s sensational run with victory last season, but the Olympic champion has bounce back with success in Ruka.

Kingsbury topped the standings with a score of 82.99 points as Kazakhstan’s Pavel Kolmakov finished second with 82.10.

Japan’s Ikuma Horishima came third with 81.12 as home favourite Kimi Salonen missed out on a place on the podium after scoring 80.83.

There was disappointment for Graham who placed 10th with 75.40.
