Men’s individual titles were spread across the six events last weekend.

Japan’s Tatsuya Shinhama proved one of the strongest skaters as he placed second in the opening men’s 500m race, before winning the second competition.

Canada’s Laurent Dubreuil secured podium finishes in both races and will now target a first victory of the season.

A Dutch tussle is expected in the men’s 1000m event after Hein Otterspeer, Thomas Krol and Kjeld Nuis delivered a clean sweep of the podium in Poland.

South Korea’s Kim Min-Seok will seek a second triumph in the 1500m event, while Sweden’s Nile van der Poel will aim to translate his 5,000m success to the 10,000m distance.

Racing will begin tomorrow with the men’s and women’s 1000m events, as well as the 5000m women’s competition.

The first 500m finals, men’s 10,000m and team sprint races will be contested on Saturday (November 20).

The World Cup event will conclude on Sunday (November 21) with the final 500m races and 1500m competitions.
