Curling_Pacific_ChampionshipsNovember 24 - China topped off an unbeaten run to take the men's gold at the Pacific Curling Championships, beating Korea 9-3 in Uiseong in the medal game.


But the Koreans made up for their disappointment by clinching the gold medal in the women's event with a 10-7 victory over Olympic bronze medallist Bingyu Wang and her team from China.

Both the men's and women's teams from Korea and China have secured the World Curling Federation Pacific zone berths at the 2011 World Curling Championships.

It is the second time in the 20-year history of the Pacific Curling Championships that the Korean women's team has won.

Their previous victory was in 2001 when the event was held in Jeonju, Korea.

Australia won the bronze medal in the men's competition, beating New Zealand 9-4.

Japan won the women's bronze medal with a 7-4 victory over New Zealand.
