A total of 250,000 tickets have been placed on sale as part of the latest ticketing phase for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

The latest batch of tickets will be available to "2023 Family members", who had registered prior to a noon deadline today.

The members will have access to an exclusive pre-sale period for 24 hours.

Tickets will then be placed on general sale to the public from 6pm Central European Time on Thursday (September 30).

These will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis via the official site, tickets.rugbyworldcup.com.

World Rugby said the latest ticketing phase sees two new offers available.

"City Pack 2 Matches" will be available, which allows fans to see two pool matches scheduled in the same stadium.

"Pack Quarter-finals" gives fans the chance to buy tickets to two last-eight matches at the Stade de France or the ties at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for the same weekend, between October 14 to 15 next year.

World Rugby said there will be availability across all four price categories.

In April, the governing body said 350,000 tickets were sold within five hours in an initial pre-sale window.

These were available for members of the 2023 Family, with city and team-specific packages available.

Individual match tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis in 2022.

The men's World Cup is scheduled to take place from September 8 to October 28 in France in 2023, with organisers aiming to make it the most accessible Rugby World Cup of all time.
