France's Meije Lerondel recorded 49+ to win the silver medal while Mio Nukui of Japan took home the bronze with a 45+.

In the youth B men's lead final, Nukui's compatriot Sorato Anraku remained in pole position to win the event despite not scoring a top.

He scored 40+ to edge out American duo Hugo Hoyer and Dillon Countryman with 39+ and 36 respectively.

The youth A men's boulder final was a particularly close contest as four climbers scored three tops and four zones.

However, Hannes Van Duysen of Belgium came away with the victory as he achieved the feat in the fewest attempts.

Germans Emil Zimmerman and Thorben Perry Bloem joined Frenchman Mejdi Schalck as runners-up.

It was a disappointing showing from Schalck as he was expected to perform having been the strongest athlete in the previous rounds.

There was also semi-final action as part of the day's schedule.

Japan's Nonoha Kume, the Czech Republic's Michaela Smetanova and Daria Mezentseva of Russia shared the podium as all three recorded a top in the junior women's lead round.

Meanwhile in the youth A women's semi-final, Slovenian Sara Copar and Italy's Alessia Mabboni could not be separated as they both scored a top.

Aleksandra Totkova of Bulgaria rounded out the top three recording a score of 39+.
