Three-time skeleton world champion Gregor Stähli has been named the new managing director of the Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina, the sliding track which is set to be part of the 2021-2022 International Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup season.

The former Swiss athlete, who is a two-time Olympic bronze medallist, will hold the position over the upcoming season.

The 53-year-old became the world champion in men's skeleton in 1994, 2007 and 2009 and won his bronze medals at the Salt Lake City 2002 and Turin 2006 Winter Olympics.

He replaces fellow former Swiss skeleton athlete Damian Gianola in the position.

St. Moritz is set to be the venue for the final of the IBSF World Cup in January 2022, which is also counting as the European Championships.

The IBSF Para Sport World Cup and the Para Sport European Championships are also set to be held the following month at the track.

In 2023, St. Moritz is set to host the IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships.
