The International Ski Federation (FIS) Autumn Technical Committee Meetings are set to take place online again due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Various meetings are scheduled to run from September 28 to October 2.

The FIS team will draft online schedules prior to the meetings to allow planning from members and representatives, the world governing body said.

Despite the present situation, the FIS hopes that members can attend an in-person FIS Congress from May 22 to 28 next year in Vilamoura in Portugal if travel restrictions ease.

That will be an elective Congress, with Johan Eliasch - voted President in June - currently completing the term of former head Gian-Franco Kasper.

Kasper, who stepped down for health reasons, died earlier this month age 77.

The FIS Congress in June was held online, as the Autumn Technical Committee Meetings wills be.

A Congress in 2020 - where Kapser was due to step down - was cancelled because of the pandemic.
