Over 50 skaters have attended the inaugural British Ice Skating short track speed skating camp at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.

Attendees received two on ice training sessions, as well as an off-ice exercise class.

The camp concluded with an afternoon of racing.

The national governing body revealed that the level of attendees ranged from skaters who had never been to a full session to those seeking official qualifying times for national and international events.

Coaches from the British Ice Skating speed skating performance programme led the training camp.

The coaches were supported by volunteers and members of the performance squad.

Holly Hoyland, Branden Marshall, Peter Riches, Solomon Prempeh and Matt Gardner were among the athletes to offer guidance.

The skaters took part in a question and answer session to offer an insight into life on the performance programme.

British Ice Skating said athletes were quizzed on topics including how to pick the correct skates to how to deal with the adrenaline of racing.
