Organisers of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have announced RGS Events as the official provider of furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Following a tender process, the company has been given responsibility for sourcing, manufacturing, delivering and disposing of equipment used at venues and campus villages housing athletes during the Games.

The remit covers categories including furniture, appliances, transport elements and crowd control items.

RGS Events has experience with ensuring furniture, fixtures and equipment are delivered on time with Birmingham 2022 set to be the third successive Commonwealth Games they have taken on this role - following Glasgow 2014 and Gold Coast 2018.

RGS Events has also supplied furniture, fixtures and equipment at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics, and is in the process of performing the same role for Tokyo 2020.

Birmingham 2022 has pledged to be the first carbon-neutral Commonwealth Games, and RGS Events is supporting this target through a commitment to carbon offsetting, single use packaging reduction, waste recycling and a disposal programme where no products are sent to landfill.
