The sole Asia-Oceania representatives enjoyed a straight sets win over Germany in the group stage and were hoping for a repeat in the final.

The match began promisingly for Kazakhstan as they claimed the opening set 25-17, only for Germany to respond impressively by winning the second 25-13.

The remaining sets proved closely fought, with Germany ultimately triumphing 17-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-23 to earn their spot at Tokyo 2020.

Germany completes the line-up for the eight-team men’s tournament at Tokyo 2020.

They will join Paralympic hosts Japan, world champions Iran, China, Russia, Brazil, Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Paralympics, which will take place in the Japanese capital from August 24 to September 5.

A bronze medal match was also held at the final qualification event.

Ukraine overcame Croatia 25-16, 25-19, 25-16 to end their tournament on a high.
