Josie Gabuco of the Philippines and Shoira Zulkaynarova of Tajikistan were the favourites on the end of upsets at the Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai.

In the light-flyweight category, Gulasal Sultonalieva of Uzbekistan beat top seed and a former women’s world champion in Gabuco on points.

Sultonalieva will face Alua Balkibekova of Kazakhstan in the final after the second seed beat India’s Monika by a unanimous points decision.

In the flyweight category, top seed and six-time women’s world champion Mary Kom Hmangte of India beat Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg of Mongolia on points.

Despite acknowledging it was "not my best performance" Kom is in the final where she will face Nazym Kyzaibay of Kazakhstan who won when the referee stopped her contest in the first round against Nadeeka Pushpakumari of Sri Lanka.

In the bantamweight category, top seed Dina Zholaman of Kazakhstan won on points following a bout review against Sakshi of India.

Her opponent in the final will be Sitora Shogdarova of Uzbekistan who defeated Erdenedalai Michidmaa of Mongolia on points.

In the featherweight category, Vladislava Kukta of Kazakhstan claimed a unanimous points victory against Jaismine of India.

She will face Sitora Turdibekova of Uzbekistan who was also a unanimous victor on points against Mijgona Samadova of Tajikistan.

In the heavyweight category, Anupama of India won on points against Mokhira Abdullaeva of Uzbekistan on points.

Anupama will face Kazakhstan’s Lazzat Kungeibayeva of Kazakhstan in the final, who won when the referee stopped her contest against Hanan Alzeyouidi of the United Arab Emirates in the opening round.

In the lightweight category, top seed Shoira Zulkaynarova of Tajikistan was surprisingly beaten by Indonesia’s Huswatun Hasanah on points.

Hasanah will face Rimma Volosenko of Kazakhstan who was a unanimous points winner against Simranjit Kaur Baatth of India.

In the light-welterweight category, Kazakhstan’s Milana Safronova was a unanimous points winner against Mokhinabonu Abdullaeva of Uzbekistan.

Safronova will face India’s Lalbuatsaihi of India in the final, after she defeated Noura Almutairi of Kuwait, the first female fighter from the country to compete internationally, when their fight was abandoned during the second round.

In the middleweight category, Mavluda Movlonova of Uzbekistan triumphed on points against Marina Volnova of Kazakhstan.

Movlonova will face Pooja Rani of India who earned victory against Munkhbat Myagmarjargal of Mongolia by walkover.
