Canadian star Kingsbury backed up his win in yesterday’s moguls with another triumph in the dual discipline in the Kazakh city.

The Olympic champion defeated Australian Matt Graham in the final to clinch his sixth world title.

Japan’s Ikuma Horishima completed the podium with victory over Canada’s Brenden Kelly in the bronze medal clash.

"I'm just very excited and happy to win my sixth title," said Kingsbury in a report by the Canadian Press.

"I know that right now in my sport, I'm the guy that's won the most World Championships in history.

"[Monday] was a good domination from my side.

"I wouldn't say I dominated [today] but I was the smartest out there and I was the only one that was able to cross the line all the time.

"[It was] one of those days where the course was very hard.

"It makes us look not very good, but it was super fun to ski and super challenging. I love those kinds of conditions and courses.

"When it's hard, it brings the best out of me. I'm just extremely proud to be a two-time world champion again."

Smirnova became the first ever Russian freestyle skier to win the women’s dual moguls at the World Championships.

The 18-year-old, who earned bronze in the moguls yesterday, defeated Russian Skiing Federation team-mate Viktoriia Lazarenko in the final.

Anastassiya Gorodko clinched the bronze medal after beating Canadian Sofiane Gagnon in the small final.

Competition is due to continue tomorrow with the men’s and women’s aerials contests.

The event is then due to conclude on March 11 with the mixed team aerials final.
