The Women's Monobob World Series circuit is due to conclude with the final event of the season in Königssee this weekend.

One race is on the schedule for the event at the German track tomorrow.

It will be the 14th race of the season, a crucial one for a discipline that is due to make its Winter Olympic Games debut at Beijing 2022.

The competition in Königssee comes less than a week after women's monobob was contested for the first time at an International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Championships.

Three-time Olympic gold medallist Kaillie Humphries, who used to compete for Canada but now represents the United States, won the inaugural women's monobob world title in Altenberg.

She looks set to be absent in Königssee as she returned home following her World Championships triumph.
