Fam, ranked 22nd in the world, booked a spot in the singles and doubles contests at teqball's flagship event. 

He did not drop a set in his six singles matches in the fourth round of the National Challenger Series, conceding just 40 points in total.

In the doubles category, Fam and his partner Pape Makhtar Diaw won all six matches in straight sets, including a comfortable 12-3, 12-5 victory in the final. 

Diaw will join Fam for the doubles competition at the World Championships. 

The fourth edition of the World Championships is scheduled to take place this year after the event was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

International Federation of Teqball chairman Viktor Huszár revealed in December that three countries were interested in hosting the tournament. 

Teqball events have also taken place recently in the United States and Guinea-Bissau. 

World number nine Frankie Diaz won back-to-back Challenger Cup doubles events in Virginia Beach.

Dennis Correia joined compatriot Diaz to win an all-American final against Santhy Montufar and Deiver Alexander Lopez 12-9, 11-12, 12-7.

Diaz then triumphed in the USA Beach Challenger Cup the next day, partnering with Brazil's Rubem Miranda to earn gold. 

The pair came up against Correia and Uruguay's Andres Berriel in the final and clinched a narrow 12-6, 8-12, 15-13 victory. 

Guinea-Bissau also hosted the second round of its National Challenger Series, which was dominated by newcomer Gamara Da Silva. 

Participating in his first-ever official competition, Da Silva did not drop a single set, culminating in a 12-7, 12-10 victory over round one runner-up Carimo Indjai.
